“Technician in the field of Power Electronics” at Chemnitz Power Labs GmbH

As a Technician (m/f/d) in the field of power electronics, you will be a central pillar in our team and play a significant role in testing power electronics and setting up test benches. Your main task is to develop and build test benches for the evaluation of power electronics to ensure the reliable execution of tests. Your technical expertise and specialized knowledge will contribute to ensuring that our customers in the power electronics industry can benefit optimally from your solutions.

Your responsibilities:

  • Assembling and setting up test setups according to the project leader’s instructions, including proper documentation.
  • Creating circuit diagrams/layouts in KiCad.
  • Participating in measurements for test procedure control (plausibility of
  • measurement values, technical checks, safety checks) for various tasks, including
  • documentation.
  • Designing electrical circuits, including layout, component selection, assembly, and
  • commissioning.

Your profile:

  • Completed training as a state-certified electronics technician for devices and systems or an equivalent qualification.
  • Possible areas of specialization may include:
    • Supervising reliability tests for power electronic components and systems, measurement and test setups.
    • Hardware design and circuit design.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and layout programs such as KiCad.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in the field of energy and automation technology.
  • Knowledge of the English language is advantageous.

Chemnitz Power Labs GmbH is a young and dynamic company, founded in November 2021 as a spin-off from the Chair of Power Electronics at the Technical University of Chemnitz. We offer specialized testing services for power electronic components and also develop our own products.
